The UV index doesn’t affect our users as much as bright light does. Whether natural or artificial, bright light is a common sensory trigger but not necessarily a weather trigger.
Though a few members of our community report a lunar effect on their migraines, we have not found a correlation between the lunar phase and recorded attacks.
Temperature variation is a commonly reported trigger, but atmospheric pressure variation is reported at a higher rate.
Which of these triggers have been reported at-least once by Migraine Buddy users?
Triggers related to the boss' behaviour such as "boss yelling", or "my boss is a jerk" have been reported 200 times only. Work-related tiggers are commonly reported by Migraine buddy users, stress being number one.
Sex related triggers such as orgasm or lack of sex has been reported over 8000 times.
It was never reported as a trigger in Migraine Buddy but definitely gave some people a headache!
President of the United State of America has been reported as a headache trigger more than 500 times since the start of Migraine buddy (the name of the POTUS is usually mentioned)
In a recent survey we conducted among Migraine Buddy users, fear of vaccines is reported as a reason why not being vaccinated, but never as a trigger for a migraine or headache.
This one was never reported - we are happy to see we have so many brave and resilient users in the app!
