Objective of the study
RELIEV-CM2 is a clinical trial to evaluate a new investigational implantable medical device used as a treatment for individuals with chronic migraine. The ShiraTronics Migraine Therapy System is designated to provide mild electrical stimulation to the nerve pathways associated with migraine and aims to reduce the number and pain intensity of migraine attacks.
Are you eligible?
- Are you 22 years old or older?
- Are you experiencing 15 or more headache days per month?
- Have you been diagnosed with migraine for at least 12 months?
- No Botox injections within the last 3 months
- No previous treatment with an implantable neurostimulator

What does it involve?
Two minimally invasive surgical procedures:
- A temporary trial system is placed under the skin so that participants can try the therapy. The trial system is removed after about a week.
- A fully implantable permanent system may be placed in a second procedure if
the trial therapy was well tolerated.
As part of the study, participants will be required to attend a few clinic visits at the study site throughout the 12-month study period.
