Express Your Migraines (Vol.4 – Vicky Hamilton)

fear migraine - Victoria Hamilton.jpg

DESCRIPTION/EXPLANATION OF WORK

One of the works above is called ‘fear’.

The figure is depicted on the ground and the nerve pathways drawn down on one side of the body. As the Migraine Buddy community would probably know, migraine is not just in the head.

The other work is called ‘sadness’.

Throughout one’s migraine journey, this big ball of stress, pressure and life happenings accumulates and is expressed through the body. This all often comes out as what we like to refer to as ‘migraine pain’.

WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO CREATE THIS?

I created a series of six drawings on the human condition. All of these were drawn on tablecloths to express the everyday-ness of the big things which we go through in our life.

(The others I have drawn are not migraine related)
